First, the front staff were very helpful and informative. They knew how to direct us to interesting locations in the area and made sure that we knew various meal options, in the hotel and in the area. One of our days was during a strong wind/rain storm. They alerted us that the storm might be more intense that we would expect, since it was our first trip to Iceland. They told us possibilities for touring that would be safe to tour and how to be more careful in the wind. Second, all the staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to engage in brief conversations. We learned about the staff and more about the area. The seasonal wait staff talked about coming here for the Icelandic tourist season and their countries of origin. Third, the food was wonderful! The dining room and lounge had large windows to the outdoors, were clean and welcoming. Fourth, the rooms were very clean. The facilities felt well maintained and overseen. I would to love to go there again and explore the peninsula. I am sure we would do more in this area of Iceland than we had planned to do. I am ready to go again. Thank you!!!

The staff were so accommodating to our last-minute reservation; we found our first reserved accommodation unsatisfactory, and we were left with a need to find another place fast. It was such relief to meet the kind staff, well-run reception, and our rooms were recently redecorated and beautiful. They even had tea pots in our rooms, which was the perfect wind down to a busy day. It was a great experience, and I'd now recommend Foss Hotels to anyone heading to Iceland! We also loved the location. We walked down to the sea, enjoyed the waves crashing, enjoyed birds nesting, and had some great views of the nearby mountains and the classic old Icelandic church. This was some great material for me, an amateur photographer, and added to the joy of the experience.

Great location at the end of the peninsula after a busy day exploring. Not much nearby - but nice walk down to beach (with cafe). Hotel rooms are cosy but clean and comfortable - timber framed so not much noise insulation. We had a great stay for one night as a family of four with two sea view rooms - and were pleasantly surprised how good the restaurant food was considering how remote the hotel is. Very impressed by how friendly all the staff were - every single one said hello/good morning etc with a smile as you passed them

Wonderful location on the water, watched the sun rise over coffee from the restaurant in the morning. We had 2 rooms, our Room was not large, but spacious enough for a couple and our luggage. Very clean, Comfortable, a small window could be opened to allow air flow and cooling during sleep. Dinner was FABULOUS. Our party of 5 all selected different entrees and they were all delicious. Staff were kind and gracious, breakfast was also quite good. No complaints!~

It's a really nice hotel and restaurant in the wilderness of the far west Snæfellsnes peninsula. The hotel has a great location for exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula from west to east as we did with my family after our stay. Breakfast was really good with everything you need for a great start of the day. There are some nice views and walking paths around the hotel for those not feeling sleepy in the arctic day.
